Founded in 1946, by One Arup. Arup is a multi-national design company which provides Design, Engineering, Architecture, Planning and Consultancy Services. It currently has 16000 staff, in over 90 offices in 35 countries and their headquarters is in London, UK.

The Landscape Architecture Department, led by its director, Mike Wood, prioritises inspiring design and welcoming places whilst tackling global challenges, such as urbanisation, climate change & habitat loss. Their design seeks to deliver "liveable cities, ensure biodiversity net-gain, resilience to climate change and better resource management".

The Landscape Architect Department are currently involved in multiple projects globally. In the UK, amongst other projects, they are improving and restoring biodiversity along the A30 in Cornwall
