What is a certified B Corporation?

When I typed 'ethical and humanitarian LA practices', into a search engine, I came across certified B Corporation. Awarded to companies that have met very high standards of 'performance, accountability and transparency on factors like employee benefits to charitable giving'. It's a set of standards that seems impressive and I'm intrigued as to how it equates in Landscape Architecture. So I'm going to look at some practices that have this standard...

Stride Treglown

Based in Bath & Bristol amongst many other cities, an employee-owned, multi-design discipline company with expertise focused on Civic, Commercial, Education, Healthcare, Infrastructure and Residential. Their manifesto seems really impressive, focusing on the 'needs of the individual and using design to improve emotional well-being and surroundings'.

Their website details some impressive pro-bono architectural/interiors work, however, there's nothing showing for Landscape Architecture??? They are currently recruiting a Landscape Architect and I'm tempted to enquire...
