I've been working on the idea of floodable gardens which will form a large area of my design for Castlemeads. I want to create gardens that can cope with extremes of flooding and hot, dry weather. I would like the individual gardens to offer a sense of restfulness and peace, uncomplicated spaces where people can go and just sit without being too challenged or overwhelmed...
