A Landscape Architect in North America, Cornier's work has been described as eccentric and unapologetic with bold, playful designs within the public realm. His well-known works include '18 Shades of Gay', 180,000 coloured balls hanging above Saint-Catherine Street, Montreal.
Fountain in Berczy Park, Toronto....

Cornier's work creates a sense of joy and playfulness, engaging people within the space. I found looking at his work thought-provoking, making me consider how to lift my designs with braver elements and a sense of fun. Continuing my interest with Dadaism and the use of the absurd in Landscape Architecture, creating elements that are slightly surreal within their environment appeals.
