Walking the line..

I was struck by how little signage there was highlighting this interesting pathway, that ran along the river. The path draws you in, leading your eye through the trees and as it curves, the way ahead is obscured.
The curvilinear path narrows through residential areas, backing onto private gardens and then opens out, revealing a big, open space.
Some areas are a little tired and unkept, but the designs throughout suggest investment in the past into public space offering play areas, sculpture trails, planted ornamental flowerbeds and wooded pockets with a diverse variety of trees. Borrowed landscape from the surrounding hillsides, scooping down into a flood plane bowl. A pathway leading through decades of architecture, municipal design/ landscaping and planting.... to be enjoyed.
