Woodchester Park contains the reminds of an 18th and 19th Century Landscape Park. The c400ha site runs along the west of the Nailsworth Valley, Gloucestershire. The land is on the register of Historic Parks and Gardens for it's special historic interest. An almost leaf shaped valley with a central spine consisting of a series of five descending ponds. Natural springs feed the ponds running down through each section of 'the leaf' like veins. Native woodlands and coniferous forests stretch steeply down from the top of the valleys onto the floor, which then runs into wildlife diverse Wetlands and farmed pasture. The purple path allows you to experience the natural spaces blended with the man-made....
